Way over my head

Ok, so Josh somehow got his hands on this file. I'm not asking any questions.

I can barely make out the words. Josh thinks there's more to this than meets the eye and then spewed some technical gobbledegook about audio files and stuff...I have no idea what he's talking about it's so over my head.

  2. Where did Josh get this from? Was this hacked off of the liber8 website? And if so what part of it? And what's more, why would anyone use that high of a bitrate. You should need 100Kbps max for audio, 786Kbps is just excessive.

  4. This is the hardest one yet. Seems like everyone is stumped so far. Does Josh have any additional info for you about the file?

  6. Note this is a graphical representation of the file by someone else's analysis software, captured to video and then put into an flash video file. 3rd party analysis will be difficult after that much format conversion. If there was hidden information ala stego its most probably lost/corrupted now.

I ripped the file from here and focused on amplifying the end part which appears to have some muffled communication, but... it sounds far too muffled to make out and possibly pitch shifted. It could be dogs barking or it could be talking its very difficult to tell. The actual dialog is easier to understand however. We need to start pre[aring?]... our time is near. The Pre-[??] could be preparing but it could be something else...

I am not a sound expert but I have played with audio clean up and masking but nothing outside a low ranked amateur with Audacity can do.
